Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has been outspoken in the past about political causes.
A frequent critic of Donald Trump during his term as President, it’s no shock that Curry is not supporting the 78-year-old politician as the Republican nominee this time around.
On Thursday night, fresh off winning gold with Team USA in Paris earlier this month, Curry appeared via Zoom at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
In a recorded video message, in which he wore his new Olympic hardware around his neck, Curry talked up what it meant to be part of Team USA before officially endorsing Kamala Harris for President.
“That unity on and off the court reminded us all that together we can do all things and continue to inspire the world,” Curry said. “That’s why I believe that Kamala as President can bring that unity back and continue to move our country forward.
“I got to visit Kamala with my team at the White House last year. I can tell you one thing I knew then, and I definitely know now: the Oval Office suits her well. So in the words of Michelle Obama: ‘Do Something!’ Go vote, be active, let’s show out in November like never before.”

If you were paying attention, Curry actually first endorsed Harris, who is a Warriors fan from the Bay Area herself, right before the start of the Olympics.
“Vice President Harris is primed to bring her energy to this campaign and hopefully she’s on the ticket winning the election but it’s a big deal to say the least,” Curry said at the time, via ESPN. “She represents the Bay Area. She’s been a big supporter of us, so, I want to give that energy right back to her.”
Earlier this week, Team USA and Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke at the DNC in person, urging voters to cast their ballots for Harris.
Kerr even used Curry’s “night night” celebration to drive home the point of beating Trump in November.
The 2024 presidential election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5.
