Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has been vocal about his choice for president this fall.
Right after arriving in Paris for the 2024 Olympics, where he won gold with a virtuoso performance in the title game, Curry officially announced who he’d be voting for in November.
“Vice President Harris is primed to bring her energy to this campaign and hopefully she’s on the ticket winning the election but it’s a big deal to say the least,” Curry said, per ESPN. “She represents the Bay Area. She’s been a big supporter of us, so, I want to give that energy right back to her.”
Curry later officially endorsed Harris in a video at the Democratic National Convention in August. On Thursday, he again spoke out in support of the current vice president during an appearance on CNBC.
“Endorsing Kamala Harris is important for me and my family,” Curry said.
Asked what issues were important to him, Curry cited women’s rights and “what’s at stake in this election.”

“We need to be in the position where women have the right to choose what’s right for them. That’s at the top of the list for me,” Curry said. “I have amazing women in my life who have been an inspiration for me.
“Knowing Kamala and having been around her, I understand she’s qualified for this job. I think she’s representing what it means to be a great leader and being a decent human being in terms of representing our country the right way, so it’s an easy choice for me.”
Curry has been an outspoken critic of Republican nominee Donald Trump, dating back to his time in office as President.
Curry is one of several prominent NBA figures to support Harris, a group that also includes Hall of Fame coach George Karl and former Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
The 2024 Presidential Election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 5.
