Stephen Curry has been officially ruled out by the Golden State Warriors for Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves as he continues to deal with a strained right hamstring. The Warriors, who won Game 1 of the series, will have to win Game 5 to give Curry a chance to return for Game 6.
Curry will be reevaluated Wednesday. He sustained the hamstring injury in the second quarter of the Warriors’ Game 1 victory on May 6.
Draymond Green says Curry continues to do everything he can to return.
“He’s working his tail off every day,” Green said. “He’s in here eight, nine hours a day working, doing what he can to try to get back. His morale is great. Obviously, nobody’s excited right now. But he’s working to get back. It’s all you can do at this point.”
