Steve Kerr called Jimmy Butler’s illness yesterday “definitely impactful.” He went from 26 shots in G3 to nine in G4. Kerr: “But he’s feeling better and he’ll be ready to go tomorrow.” Steph Curry remains out but did make the trip with the team. – 8:35 PM

Warriors had to survive in this series without Curry on the defensive end. The Timberwolves just put up 70 combined points in the second/third quarters. They have 97 with 12 minutes left. Up 20 and nearing commanding 3-1 series lead. – 12:20 AM

Steph Curry went through a court workout and rode the bike pregame yesterday. It wasn’t full speed, but it was an initial step in his attempted return.
The clock is ticking.

Fourteen turnovers and only 23 attempted 3s for the Warriors. Difficult formula offensively without Steph Curry. They were in it most of the night, got 63 pts from Butler/Kuminga, but lost the fourth quarter 33-24 and have now lost control of the series. It’s 2-1 Timberwolves. – 11:23 PM

More on this storyline

“In the first quarter, after you hit a three, you were talking to Steph. I also saw a video of you pregame doing the ‘night night.’ How tough is it not to have him on the court competing against you?” Anthony Edwards: “Sometimes it’s tough. Trust me, I wish he could be out there to play against. After I hit a three, I told him, ‘You said I wasn’t gonna make that—I was too open.’ And I said, ‘I ain’t never gonna stop shooting—learned that from you this summer.’ He’s the greatest shooter of all time. I’d love to compete against him. But yeah, he got hurt unfortunately. I hope he gets better.” -via YouTube / May 13, 2025
Warriors superstar Stephen Curry does not expect to return to the court Wednesday for Game 5 with Golden State’s season on the line, he told Andscape’s Marc J. Spears on Monday night. “Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t,” Curry said, referring to his left hamstring injury. Curry was responding to a comment by teammate Draymond Green that the Warriors and Curry are not going to try to “Superman this thing” if the star isn’t fully ready to return. -via ESPN / May 13, 2025
Anthony Slater: Draymond Green on not wanting Steph Curry to rush back despite GSW facing elimination: “We don’t need Superman. Play the long game. If he can, we know he will. But we gotta figure out a way to win whether he plays or not.” pic.x.com/7SDSpWeDbU -via Twitter @anthonyVslater / May 13, 2025
