Stephen Curry played only 12:54 before leaving with a hamstring
He still has more 3s than the Minnesota Timberwolves through 3 quarters – 11:38 PM

Stephen Curry leaves game with hamstring strain, will not return
A standard recovery from a hamstring strain is at least seven days and usually more like 10.

Without Curry, the Warriors scored 36 points that quarter and lead the Wolves 80-60 after three. Buddy Hield with 16 of his 18 in the third. – 11:34 PM

Warriors starters to open the second half
Brandin Podziemski
Buddy Hield
Jimmy Butler
Gary Payton II
Draymond Green
Steve Kerr leaning defense to open. It seems likely he will go to Kuminga again in search of scoring with Curry down. – 10:58 PM

Have to imagine there will be at least one missed game for Curry and probably more. Rule of thumb for me is at least a week and probably 2 if a guy has to leave with a muscle injury. Looks to be lower grade since he could still move pretty well. – 10:56 PM

There’s just one day of rest between each game from Game 1 through Game 5. After that, there’s a three-day break between Games 5 and 6. We’ll have to see the severity of a Stephen Curry’s hamstring strain. – 10:47 PM

Warriors held the Timberwolves to 31 first half points. They missed all 15 of their 3s. But Steph Curry left with a hamstring strain, upping the pressure on GSW — currently up 44-31 at halftime — to close this Game 1 road win with real likelihood Curry could miss time. – 10:43 PM

Naz Reid just checked out of the game and went immediately to the Wolves locker room and appeared to be favoring his left hamstring as well, just like Steph Curry earlier. – 10:38 PM

Dalton Johnson: Steph Curry is getting an MRI tomorrow and is considered day-to-day Steve Kerr talked to Steph at halftime: “He’s obviously crushed.” -via Bluesky / May 7, 2025
Jeff Stotts: Severity of the strain will ultimately dictate how much time Steph Curry potentially misses. Average time lost for confirmed G1 strain is ~10 days. That jumps to ~31 days for G2 strains. Time lost for nondescript strains is ~12 days. -via Bluesky / May 7, 2025
