Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr will speak at Monday night’s Democratic National Convention.
According to the event’s schedule, Kerr will take the United Center stage during the 8 p.m. CT hour.
Kerr returns to the arena where he won three of five NBA championships as a player for the Chicago Bulls. The former shooting guard has since added four more rings to his collection as Golden State’s head coach and recently led Team USA’s men’s basketball team to a gold medal in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
While in Paris, Kerr endorsed Kamala Harris after Joe Biden announced that his Vice President will run for President in his place.
“Kamala Harris is a great candidate and I will support her,” Kerr told reporters last month, per Andscape’s Marc J. Spears.

Kerr hasn’t shied away from voicing his opinions beyond sports. In May 2022, he pleaded for gun control after a mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.
His father, former American University of Beirut president Malcolm Kerr, was shot dead when he was 18.
“When are we going to do something?” Kerr yelled. “I’m tired. I am so tired of getting up here and offering condolences to the devastated families that are out there. I am so tired of the moments of silence. Enough!”
During that passionate speech, Kerr called out Republican Congressional members for prioritizing their “desire for power ahead of the lives of our children.”
