Mark your calendars!
We still have no idea who will play for the Golden State Warriors in the 2025-2026 NBA season. More than two weeks into the offseason, they’re the only team who has yet to make a move, with Kevon Looney’s departure the only real change around the organization (though more moves are on the horizon: they appear all but certain to sign Al Horford, have been heavily linked to a reunion with De’Anthony Melton, and will, at some point, sort out the Jonathan Kuminga situation).
But while we don’t know who will take the floor for the Warriors when they next play a game, we do know when that game will be: October 5.
On Tuesday, the Dubs announced their schedule for the 2025 preseason. As always, it heavily features west coast teams, though they don’t play any games against their neighbor, the Sacramento Kings.
It all starts on Sunday, October 5, when the Warriors host LeBron James, Luka Dončić, and the Los Angeles Lakers at 5:30 p.m. PT. They’ll stay at home that week, when they host the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m. PT.
Then they’re off on the road to face the same teams: on Sunday, October 12, they’re at the Crypto.com Arena at 6:30 p.m. PT against the Lakers, before jetting up to the Pacific Northwest to face the Blazers at the Moda Center on Tuesday, October 14, at 7:00 p.m. PT.
Golden State then returns home to conclude their five-game preseason slate at the Chase Center, when they host the LA Clippers on Friday, October 17, at 7:00 p.m. PT.
It’s one fewer game than they had last preseason, but the Dubs will hope to find the same magic they had last October, when they went a perfect 6-0. The Warriors have not yet announced the broadcast schedule for their five preseason games, but have announced that tickets for the three home contests will go on sale to the public at 6:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday, July 16.
