The full injury report for Monday’s game.
Tonight is perhaps the biggest game of the season for the Golden State Warriors, as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves for Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals. It’s not technically a must-win game for the Dubs, as they won’t be eliminated with a loss … but for all intents and purposes, it’s a must-win. It is very, very, very difficult to envision a path where they win the series without first winning tonight’s game.
Hopefully we don’t have to envision that path, and the Warriors can handle business and tie the series tonight. But while the Dubs do have the advantage of playing the game at the Chase Center in San Francisco, they have the disadvantage of being a less healthy team.
Here’s the full injury report ahead of Monday’s Game 4.
Warriors
Out — Steph Curry (left hamstring strain)
After Curry’s MRI following Game 1, the Dubs ruled him out for the next three games … which takes him through tonight’s. He’ll be re-evaluated on Wednesday before Game 5, but it would be absolutely shocking if he’s cleared for that game. In all likelihood, Sunday’s Game 6 is the actual target date for Curry and the Warriors … if they can keep their season alive until then.
Available — Gary Payton II (left thumb splint)
Payton’s minutes have been sporadic this postseason, but if the Warriors need someone to slow down Anthony Edwards, it’s safe to say that GPII will play a large number of minutes.
Timberwolves
Minnesota has no players listed on the injury report. They’re fully healthy.
Enjoy the game, Dub Nation. It tips off at 7:00 p.m. PT on ESPN.
