Four-star guard Miles Sadler makes return to the court, updates recruitment

July 17, 2025 by Zags Blog

By SAM LANCE

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC — Class of 2026 four-star guard Miles Sadler has returned to the Arizona Unity from a knee injury for Session 4 and Peach Jam, and he’s made an impact in a big way.

Since his return, Arizona Unity has gone 4-2 and are looking like one of the favorites to win the Peach Jam crown. In the six games, Sadler has averaged 14.3 points and 4.7 assists while shooting 48.4% from the field and 11-of-29 (37.9%) from range.

“It’s great to be back actually playing,” Sadler said. “I’m just glad to be back out here and spend my last tournament with my guys.”

When coaches were in the building during the first live session of July, Sadler believes he was able to show coaches he’s a facilitator and not just a scorer. His assists numbers reflect that. Sadler is one of the shiftiest guards in the country and can get by his defenders with ease. It’s why he’s a highly-coveted prospect.

Sadler will be taking his first official visit to Tennessee on Aug. 30. He’s excited to watch the Vols football game against Syracuse, as he’s never seen a college football game live. As for what stands out about the Tennessee program?

“They’re very welcoming,” Sadler said. “They have guards like Zakai Zeigler, who I see myself as, see myself in him. So it’s definitely a good position to be in.”

The other schools Sadler said are recruiting him hard right now include Cal, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Stanford and Syracuse. He doesn’t have any other visits set at the moment.

He broke down a few of these programs to ZAGSBLOG:

Cal: “They play through their guards, play very fast. And I feel like I fit well with that whole narrative. I’m a very fast-paced guard, get down and play scrappy defense and stuff like that.”

Oklahoma: “Their alumni. They had Trae Young, Jeremiah Fears that just went to the league. So it’s another spot I’m definitely looking at for sure. [Porter Moser] runs through his guards, plays two guards at a time. They usually start two point guards. And they like to play fast, which I feel like I fit very well with. So it’s definitely a potential spot.”

Syracuse: “A new one. One of my old teammates Naithan George goes there right now. So definitely another potential spot I’m looking at for sure. And it’s close to home, so it’s great.”

Mississippi State’s Chris Jans, Oklahoma’s Porter Moser, Syracuse’s Adrian Autry, and an assistant from Tennessee were spotted courtside for Sadler on Sunday.

Sadler plans to narrow it down in the coming months.

“Definitely by the end of the summer,” Sadler said. “Right now I’m just focused on winning, focused on winning this whole thing. So by the end of the summer, I’ll start looking at it and cutting it down.”

The point guard likely won’t sign early, but he wants to commit before the New Year. What will be the most important factor in his decision?

“Opportunity to play first year,” Sadler said. “I know minutes are not guaranteed anywhere, so definitely just the opportunity. I don’t want to go somewhere where I’m just going to automatically sit on the bench for the first year. But opportunity to play, good development and also a good crowd too.”

Sadler is ranked the No. 31 overall prospect in the 2026 class by 247Sports.
