George Kittle was the runaway winner in this week’s SB Nation’s Reacts poll
Last week, we wondered which pass catcher on the San Francisco 49ers would lead the team in receiving touchdowns for the upcoming 2025 season. That was this week’s question for our weekly FanDuel SB Nation Reacts.
In our national question, we asked which of these players is most important to their team’s success. The answer, unsurprisingly, was a quarterback.

You could argue that Matthew Stafford should have been an even bigger winner in that poll. As for our results, George Kittle was the runaway winner with 50 percent of the votes.

Kittle makes the most sense, especially with Brandon Aiyuk expected to miss at least a month. Kittle led the offense in red zone targets last season. There’s plenty of uncertainty where Kittle isn’t only the best option, but the default option.
Pearsall finishing second isn’t all that surprising. The former first-round pick almost feels like a process of elimination pick, especially if he has a few touchdowns of the longer variety.
I thought McCaffrey would be a sneaky second-place option. Then again, he’ll have plenty of opportunities to run the ball in once the 49ers are in the red zone.
