Betting can be exhilarating. Betting can be frustrating. More often than not, betting is pain. The 49ers dismantled the Philadelphia Eagles at the Linc on Sunday. That was exhilarating. We hit on five of our prop bet selections. That sounds good, right?
Well, when you hit on five of your selections in a six-team parlay, you get pain.
Christian McCaffrey and Jalen Hurts cashed their anytime TD prop, George Kittle went over his receiving prop, the 49ers won, and Deebo Samuel went over his rushing yard prop. The lone miss on our +2500 same-game parlay was Brandon Aiyuk and his receiving yard total of 62.5 receiving yards. A 5-1 record on Sunday brings our overall record to 30-19.
There’s no time to cry over spilled milk or failed parlays. Let’s look at some prop bets to target on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Come on down, Christian McCaffrey. The safest bet in the business continues on Sunday with another anytime TD, and the odds sit at -300. There’s no need to complicate or overthink this one.
Brock Purdy has been lights out following the 49ers three-game skid. Purdy’s passing touchdown total is 1.5. Let’s take the over at -150. I fully expect the 49ers to eclipse 30 points on Sunday. Purdy will throw at least two touchdowns on the day.
Deebo Samuel was incredible on Sunday in every way possible. Vegas seems to be hip to Samuel’s rushing yard chances and has raised his total to 13.5 on Sunday. I’m still taking the over here at -125.
These selections aren’t exactly going out on a limb, but as a wise man once told me when describing betting: “Sometimes, you have to take singles and doubles and miss on a home run.”
Our same game parlay will consist of McCaffrey’s anytime TD, Purdy throwing over 1.5 touchdowns, Samuel going over 13.5 rushing yards, and a 49ers win. The odds sit at +218.
Good luck on Sunday, and let’s cash some tickets!
