The final six weeks of the NFL regular season are here, and the playoff races are beginning to take shape.
In the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles are in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 overall seed with a 10-1 record. However, ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) doesn’t think the Eagles have the best Super Bowl odds in their own conference.
According to the new FPI update, the San Francisco 49ers have the best chance of winning it all at 22.9%, followed by the Eagles at 16.6% and the Kansas City Chiefs at 16.1%.
If you’re unfamiliar, FPI is listed as “a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season.”
Fittingly, the 49ers and Eagles will meet in a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship Game in Philadelphia this Sunday.
What a gift we’re getting from the Football Gods this Sunday..

San Francisco has not won a Super Bowl since 1994 and last played in the big game four years ago, while the Eagles won it all in 2017 and lost to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII back in February.
Kickoff for Eagles-49ers this weekend is set for 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
