49ers training camp: Alfred Collins and Marques Sigle cleared to practice
“Collins, who missed the entire offseason program due to a calf injury, has yet to make his practice debut. However, the 49ers did not place him on the non-football injury (NFI) list this week, signaling that he’s been medically cleared to participate when the team takes the field….Fifth-round pick Marques Sigle, a rookie safety out of Kansas State, has also seemingly been cleared to practice. Like Collins, Sigle did not participate in organized team activities or minicamp due to an injury but is now expected to be a full participant at the start of camp.”
49ers guarantee nearly all of rookie Alfred Collins’ four-year contract (paywall)
“Collins’ 88% guarantee is considerably more than the No. 43 overall pick a year ago received and might open the floodgates for more second-rounders to follow suit. Arizona Cardinals cornerback Max Melton, selected in the same slot as Collins in 2024, had nearly 78% of his $8.88 million rookie contract guaranteed.”
