49ers’ schedule: Plenty of prime-time exposure despite last season’s dip (paywall)
“The 49ers will visit the Seahawks in their season opener on Sept. 7 before traveling to face the Saints, marking the fourth time since 2019 that they’ll open with back-to-back road games. In addition, they’ll play five road games with 10 a.m. West Coast kickoffs, three more than last year, and will play 13 straight games before their Week 14 bye, which is the NFL’s latest bye week. The 49ers have enjoyed a Week 9 bye — at the midpoint of the season — in each of the previous three years.
The 49ers will have two more stretches with consecutive road games after their season-opening back-to-back. The first doesn’t appear overly taxing. After visiting the Rams on Oct. 2, they will play at Tampa Bay 10 days later. Two weeks after meeting the Buccaneers, they will travel to Houston (Oct. 26) before visiting the Giants (Nov. 2).”
Pearsall changes 49ers jersey number ahead of 2025 NFL season
“Pearsall has changed his jersey number this offseason to No. 1, which was shown on a video the 49ers posted Tuesday on social media.”
Breer: Don’t sleep on 49ers’ Mykel Williams as DROY candidate
“On defense, I’m very tempted to go with San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Mykel Williams, whom I suspect always had first-pick-type freakish ability hidden by injury last year,” Breer wrote.
