“Aiyuk is still recovering from last year’s ACL tear. While Lynch said the 49ers are “encouraged” by the receiver’s recovery, he emphasized the Oct. 20 injury was a severe one and that the team isn’t “anywhere close to having a concrete timeline” on when he’ll resume practicing.
Ricky Pearsall will begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list after suffering a hamstring strain in the spring. Shanahan said he didn’t expect Pearsall to be out for long, but that the team would proceed with caution.”

“Pearsall is not bothered by the hamstring injury, Shanahan said, but the team is being cautious to reduce the risk of a re-injury.
“He’s good now,” Shanahan said. “He’s hit all his miles per hour. He’s fine. We just haven’t seen him the last two weeks.
“We’re not going to throw a wideout out there the first three days — we don’t want him to pull it again — until we see his conditioning and everything, which we should get in three days, and he should be good.”
