The Philadelphia Eagles were able to knock off the Buffalo Bills this past week without the services of star offensive tackle Lane Johnson. But will they have him back for Sunday’s even bigger game against the San Francisco 49ers?
Johnson certainly seems to think so. Speaking to Olivia Reiner of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Johnson said that he’s been feeling good and believes he’ll be ready for Sunday.
As for the injury he’s dealing with, Johnson said he “popped some scar tissue” in his groin area from an injury he dealt with last season, which is what caused him to miss Sunday’s game against Buffalo.
“Lane Johnson told me that he’s feeling good and he feels like he will be ready for this Sunday’s game against the 49ers. He said he popped some scar tissue in his groin from last year, which is why he was not active against the Bills,” Reiner wrote.

When healthy, Lane Johnson is a perennial Pro Bowl and All-Pro offensive tackle who is practically indispensable for the Eagles.
However, their big win on Sunday proved that he’s not completely necessary in order for the to win games – even against very talented opponents.
Will Johnson be available on Sunday? Will it matter?
