Despite numerous trade rumors surrounding quarterback Trey Lance, 49ers GM John Lynch attempted to quell some of those at Monday’s press conference.
“I expect Trey [Lance] to be here [on the 49ers team in 2023],” Lynch said, via The Athletic’s David Lombardi.

It’s been reported that the 49ers had conversations with the Minnesota Vikings about a possible trade centered around Lance and Kirk Cousins. As well as fielding calls from some other interested teams.
After giving up so much to draft Lance, its hard to imagine San Francisco cutting bait just eight games into his career. But the emergence of seventh-rounder Brock Purdy has shifted things a bit.
