Two Aprils ago, the 49ers gave up multiple first-round picks and a third-round pick to move up and select Trey Lance as their QB of the future. Now he doesn’t even figure to be a part of their present.
After reports surfaced that San Francisco fielded calls on the former No. 3 pick, he didn’t have much to say to Inforum.com‘s Mike McFeely. Telling the reporter, “I got no comment on that. I have no information.”

“About 100% of times when someone says ‘no comment’ it means there is actually something going on with it but not something they want to or can say without consequence. It always raises suspicious when someone says it about a topic people want answers on,” a Niners fan admitted.

“What would you give up for Trey Lance? If you’re the Vikings, do you give up a first?” another asked.

Lance has played in just eight career games since being drafted that high. Partly due to the season-ending ankle injury he suffered in Week 2 of last season.
