Keeping pace with all of the picks in tonight’s first round draft.
We finally made it. The NFL Draft is here. The rumors haven’t slowed down, as national reporters are saying the Cleveland Browns are trying to move up to the No. 2 pick overall to select Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter.
Buckle up because that’s not the only player teams are looking to move up for. Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is another highly sought-after player in this class. The Chicago Bears are linked to Jeanty. New head coach Ben Johnson doesn’t have an explosive back, and Jeanty would fit the bill.
The problem is Jeanty would become one of the sixth-highest-paid running backs the second you draft him in the top 10. Is he worth that much? He better be.
The New York Giants seem to be locked into Adbul Carter at No. 3 overall. Don’t be surprised if they trade Kayvon Thibodeaux at some point this weekend and perhaps as soon as tonight. That should be a player the San Francisco 49ers are interested in.
The New Orleans Saints can muck this draft up at No. 9. I’ve seen New Orleans being mocked everybody from quarterback Jaxon Dart to edge rusher Mykel Williams. That tells you the range of players is all over.
