Eagles security staffer Dom DiSandro and 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw were at the center of a heated altercation this past Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. They were both ejected by the officials.
The city of Philadelphia immediately rallied behind “Big Dom.” The rest of the NFL world, however, thought it was odd he got in Greenlaw’s face.
On Wednesday, the NFL sent a memo to all 32 teams regarding the “conduct of club personnel on game day.”
The NFL wants game-day staff members to refrain from altercations on the field or sideline.
“Please ensure that all members of your game-day staff understand that their role does not extend to being involved with game day altercations and that they must refrain from such involvement.”

For what it’s worth, Greenlaw and DiSandro exchanged apologies this week.
“He seemed like a genuine guy, a guy everybody loved in the building,” Greenlaw said, via The Mercury News. “Honestly, I really hate it even escalated and went to that. It’s something I’ve never been a part of or seen in a game.”
Neither Greenlaw nor DiSandro have heard from the league regarding potential discipline.
