The Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers could agree on a trade that would invite wide receiver Tre Tucker to Kyle Shanahan’s offense. According to Bleacher Report, they proposed that the Raiders would receive Jauan Jennings while sending Tucker and a 2026 fourth-round pick in a potential trade scenario. While it sounds like a solid deal for both sides, Jennings is nursing an injury, so the Raiders may have to wait a little longer to see if he becomes available. This is interesting because this comes after Jennings requested a trade earlier this offseason, so technically, it will be a waiting game for the 49ers to see what decision he makes.
The 49ers find themselves in a contract stalemate with the wide receiver, but the Tre Tucker trade makes sense itself since he has yet to develop into a solid contributor for an offense and might need a reset. Originally selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the former Cincinnati product showed some signs of promise in his rookie season, recording 331 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 16 games with one start. However, it hasn’t been the most spectacular for the wideout, so it makes sense that the Raiders would probably want to trade, since they’re going to compete this season, they need the best of the best in their aerial attack. With the signing of quarterback Geno Smith and the drafting of running back Ashton Jeanty, the Raiders should be on the hunt for a potential star receiver.

Next Potential Teams
Washington Commanders
Since the Washington Commanders are in their own stalemate with wide receiver Terry McLaurin, it would make sense for the team to finally trade him, but at the right price. Washington could receive Tucker and a high draft pick, like at least a second-rounder, which may intrigue the front office to consider the offer. This all depends on the route that the Commanders want to take, since they want to win now rather than later, while Jayden Daniels is on fire. Unfortunately, they might not have a choice in this situation, which they’ve put themselves through, so it’s either pay McLaurin or trade him for some draft capital and a receiver with untapped potential.
Dallas Cowboys
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys could be in the market for a quick solution to repair depth in their receiver department after losing Jonathan Mingo. Even though Ryan Flournoy and Jalen Brooks have shown flashes this preseason, it doesn’t mean they can consistently continue that momentum. Perhaps the Cowboys could trade Jalen Tolbert in return for Tre Tucker, who still has two years left on his contract. However, they may send a future third-round pick for Tucker while they figure out how to pay Tolbert since he’s entering his contract year this season.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints might be open to trading away one of their wide receivers if they endure a losing season and embrace the full rebuild. After trading for DeVaughn Vele this offseason, it seems like that will be the case, finally, and maybe general manager Mickey Loomis is swallowing his pride. The Saints could consider sending Rashid Shaheed, and in return, they would receive Tucker and a future third-round pick next year. This only works if the Saints find themselves out of the playoff picture.
