The Jets are desperate to surround second-year quarterback Zach Wilson with weapons this coming season. Something that GM Joe Douglas has made clear from his comments via the NFL Network.
Saying of a possible Deebo Samuel trade, “If the right opportunity presents itself, we are going to be aggressive.”
However, Mike Garafolo has his doubts on whether San Francisco will even make Samuel available. Tweeting, “Sure, the Jets would explore a Deebo Samuel trade if he was available, but the 49ers don’t seem interested in making him available right now.”
From NFL Now on @nflnetwork: Sure, the #Jets would explore a Deebo Samuel trade if he was available, but the #49ers don’t seem interested in making him available right now. As for No. 4 overall, count me in on the Sauce Gardner/Ickey Ekwonu speculation. pic.twitter.com/E5V6reni1C

Adding, “I don’t picture a scenario in the next couple of days where Deebo Samuel is a New York Jet, or anywhere else.
Of all the NFL teams said to be in the mix for the All-Pro wide receiver, the Jets have been near the top of the list.
New York reportedly made a very aggressive offer for Tyreek Hill this offseason. But, the team ended up losing out to the division rival Miami Dolphins.
Now with the NFL Draft speeding towards us on Thursday; the clock is ticking for the Jets on landing a dynamic playmaker for their former first-round pick.
