Community pulse: Excitement, concern looms for season

Raiders fans are getting ready for another season

This community is a place where Las Vegas Raiders fans can come together and express their thougths.

And that’s what our Tuesday Community Question is all about —- expression of thoughts and coming together as a community. So, with the Raiders’ season starting in just nine days, we thought this week’s question should be directed toward the season and make it very simple.

So, the question was basic — we wanted to know how Raiders’ fans are feeling now that the preseason is over and the initial 53-man roster was set.

The answers showed a mixture of healthy excitement and health concern. Let’s face it; Raiders’ fans have been through a lot, so it’s fair that their is some realistic concern

But, most of all, everyone I just pumped that another season is starting.

I feel like it will be a repeat of last year probably, just below.500.

A bit apprehensive.

This preseason we saw Trey Lance moved the ball against our defense with ease, but then had 7 turnovers against the Chargers’ defense.

Feeling a sense of anticipation that real football is so nearly here.

Can’t wait to see our guys take to the field in LA and show us what they can do…. so tired of the off-season theorising.

Fine. 10 wins, possibly more if run game and pass rush are even a little better than I’m thinking. Pass rush should be vastly improved, run game should be also. Starting with doing it enough, a lot (like 16, top ten or higher in attempts, and production including TD runs).

The way AP had the team playing with what he was given is remarkable…it attests to his character and determination. We need the same out of his supporting cast in the FO…we can’t rest until we rebuild a winner’s mindset for future generations of Raiders’ players and fans. This is our time—now, not later…give us all a fighting chance to become the best at what we do!

Wins in games I expected a loss

A mixed bag of performances and under-performances,

The usual mix of head-scratching calls and surprises,

A continuation of poor and inconsistent officiating from the Zebras, with mystifying yellow flags thrown, followed by bizarre no-calls.

Ultimately, the unscripted drama of professional Sports…..
