Shortly after reports the Raiders have been shopping for a trade partner for Davante Adams, new reports have arisen that the Raiders moves are at the request of Adams.
#Raiders star WR Davante Adams informed the team that he preferred to be traded, per me and @MikeGarafolo.

For months now Davante has been fighting back speculation he is unhappy with the Raiders. And this news only confirms that speculation.
The whole thing really started with his appearance on the Netflix show ‘Receiver’ where he was clearly not happy with how the season was playing out in 2023 and his lack of catches. But he seemed onboard with the hiring of Antonio Pierce, which led some to believe all was fine now.
Next came the preseason where Davante was asked if he was going to play in preseason, to which he said if he’s choosing, he’s not playing.
Antonio Pierce was asked about it and he responded saying “No, if you’re healthy, you’ll play.”
Ultimately, Davante didn’t end up playing, supposedly because of a minor injury of some sort.
Not long after that Desean Jackson went on a talk show and said plainly that Davante told him he was unhappy with the Raiders. While he didn’t flat deny what Jackson said, he refuted that he ever spoke to Jackson and added “If I was pissed off I wouldn’t be here right now.”
So, apparently Adams must be pissed off now. And it makes you wonder if he was really too injured to play against the Browns last Sunday or if the team sat him out because of his trade “preference.”
