Two home games at Allegiant Stadium with fans inside and two overtime victories.

Vegas, baby.

It wasn’t pretty nor was it easy, but, in the end, it was another victory for the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday after they dominated the woeful Miami Dolphins after spotting the visitors a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. It was the second time in as many home games that the Raiders won after trailing 14-0. That’s pretty gutsy stuff.

Let’s take a quick look at this win:

Record: The Raiders are 3-0. The Dolphins are 1-2.

What it means:
It’s a meaningful victory. The Raiders are 3-0 for the first time since 2002. Yes, that’s 19 years. More importantly, the Raiders (Denver is also 3-0) lead defending AFC champion the Kansas City Chiefs by two games as the Chiefs lost again on Sunday, this time to the Chargers. Kansas City has won the AFC West division crown in the past five seasons.

Turning point:
The Raiders scored 25 unanswered points after trailing early. It all started with a Casey Hayward safety on a strange Miami play call. But the Dolphins came back and scored on a short run by Miami backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett and then hit the two-point conversion in the final seconds to send the game to overtime. The Raiders opened overtime with a Daniel Carlson field goal (he made up for a missed extra point that helped send the game to overtime) and then Miami, which converted a fourth-down and 20 play, tied the game at 28-28 with 2:49 remaining. Bryan Edwards and Peyton Barber came up with big plays to setup a game-winning field goal by Carlson.

Injury report:
Rookie cornerback Nate Hobbs came off the field in the fourth quarter. Rookie safety Tre’von Moehrig (ankle) and cornerback Trayvon Mullen (shoulder) were hurt in the final moments of the game. Linebacker Denzel Perryman hurt his foot in overtime.

What’s next:
The Raiders play their first AFC West opponent, when they visit the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football on Oct. 4 to end Week 4. The Chargers are 2-1 and riding high after an upset win at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
