All offseason we have been hearing talk of where Aaron Rodgers will play next. Or if he will play at all. Early in the offseason, several teams were considered potential landing spots for the former NFL MVP, including the Raiders. But in the end, it was the Jets who became the only team who was still interested in adding the 39-year-old signal caller.
The two sides finalized their deal today, thus ending the long saga of where and whether Aaron Rodgers would be playing in 2023 and beyond.

Aaron Rodgers, pick No. 15, a 2023 5th-rd pick (No. 170).

It’s been the usual offseason adventure regarding Rodgers. This time it even included something called a ‘darkness retreat’ which he used to try help make up his mind about his future. After he emerged from the darkness to everyone in the NFL waiting to hear what kind of enlightenment he discovered. Only for him to leave everyone else in the dark.
The Raiders and several other teams weren’t willing to play his game and moved on to fill their quarterback spot with someone else. The Raiders released Derek Carr, who visited the Jets, but ultimately signed with the New Orleans Saints.
When free agency started the Raiders signed Jimmy Garoppolo to be their next starter, barring a quarterback coming available in the draft.
Only the Jets remained in the mix for Rodgers and it appeared quite some time ago that New York was where he was headed. Now just three days before the start of the 2023 NFL Draft, Rodgers to New York becomes official.
