Maxx Crosby Feels ‘More Is Required’ Of Himself And Raiders To Fans

October 25, 2024 by Raiders Nation

Maxx Crosby, Raiders

In what has unfortunately become commonplace throughout his career with the Las Vegas Raiders, Maxx Crosby has been one of the few bright spots during a season that hasn’t brought much team success. While the Raiders are struggling at 2-5, Crosby remains a dominant force on the defensive line.

Despite missing a game due to injury, Crosby leads the NFL in tackles for loss while ranking in the top 10 in both sacks and QB hits. He also made history in the Raiders’ Week 7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams as his sack moved him into third in sacks in Raiders history with 58.

And while Crosby is surely appreciative of the recognition he has received, he has been very open about his desire to win more than anything else. As such, it should come as no surprise that his response to moving up the Raiders’ all-time ranks was to expect more of himself to the fans, via Maxx Crosby on X:

Love Yall. More Is Required. 🦅🏴‍☠️ https://t.co/lZjF3x5454

While there are a couple of ways to potentially interpret Crosby’s message, his words about how important winning is and how he wants to do so with this Raiders franchise would indicate where his frustrations lie. Crosby loves this franchise, but he feels more is required, which, considering the start of the season, is hard to argue.

Winning is a symptom of the entire organization, and from top to bottom, it can be argued that more is required to get the Raiders back to an elite franchise. From ownership, front office, coaches and players everyone must step up to return the Raiders to glory.

Considering all he has done in his time here, it isn’t easy to imagine what more Crosby could do individually. But this mindset is exactly what has allowed him to accomplish all that he has so far.

Maxx Crosby Not with Raiders to ‘Rebuild’

Unfortunately for Maxx Crosby and the Raiders, they are struggling mightily to turn this season around, and the slow start, along with the trade of Davante Adams, has some believing the franchise should sell off some other players and go into a full rebuild.

But Crosby isn’t for that at all as he spoke recently saying he isn’t “here to rebuild. I’m here to win.” The Raiders star added that he wants to win now, and that is the most important thing to him, so the rest of the franchise needs to get on board and follow his lead.
