Many Raiders fans would be fine if they draft Alabama quarterback
There is a strong likelihood that the Las Vegas Raiders will draft a quarterback at some point next week.
And if it’s Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, it seems many Raiders fans would be fine with the idea.
We recently asked our community members if they would be pleased if the Raiders draft Milroe.
In a poll with nearly 500 votes cast, 57 percent of the voters would be excited if the Raiders select Milroe, while 43 percent don’t think he’s the answer.
I could see this happening. The Raiders studied and visited with many quarterbacks and Milroe was one of the quarterbacks who, indeed, did visit the Raiders’ Henderson, Nevada headquarters.
They could strike at the position in any of the seven rounds with any of their nine picks. But it’s most likely Las Vegas, which recently traded for new starting quarterback Geno Smith, will look for e a young player to groom at the position in the third round or so.
The problem is, Milroe may be rising up draft boards and may not even be available when the Raiders pick in the second round, at No. 37. So, we’ll see if Las Vegas will even get a chance to take Milroe when it feels comfortable doing so.
If it happens, it appears many of our readers would be pleased. Here are some of your responses. Sign up and go to the comments section.
