Raiders Highlights: Tre Tucker Lights Up Scoreboard With 3 TDs vs. Commanders

October 4, 2025 by Raiders Nation

Tre Tucker, Raiders

It was another disappointing Sunday for the Las Vegas Raiders as they were blown out by the Washington Commanders 41-24 and dropped to 1-2 on the season.

Despite the Commanders’ missing star quarterback, Jayden Daniels, his backup, Marcus Mariota, and the rest of their offense had no problems carving up a porous Raiders defense. On the flip side, Geno Smith struggled most of the afternoon with pressure in his face and having to move around the pocket so much.

It was a difficult afternoon for a Las Vegas team looking to get back on track, but the contest wasn’t entirely a waste as the team saw what Tre Tucker could do with more opportunities. Tucker had a career day against Washington, exploding for eight receptions, 145 yards and three total touchdowns.

Tucker was responsible for all of Las Vegas’ touchdowns, and each was more impressive than the last via the Raiders’ X account:

Tucker’s first touchdown came late in the second quarter when Smith found him streaking across the field to the right side of the end zone.

Tucker’s second touchdown occurred near the beginning of the fourth quarter, where Smith hit him on a similar play, this time to the other side of the field. The wideout capped off the afternoon with his third touchdown of the game, a 61-yard strike from Smith.

The former third-round pick has flashed at times with the Raiders, but was always buried on the depth chart. However, under head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, Tucker is getting more opportunities to show he isn’t just a speedster.

Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers should continue to serve as Smith’s primary targets in the passing game. Still, Tucker’s involvement would give defenses another part of the field they need to credibly defend. After a huge game against the Commanders, Carroll and Kelly would be wise to give Tucker more chances to make plays in the open field.

Jakobi Meyers happy to be with Raiders despite trade request

Jakobi Meyers’ hot start to the 2025 season seems like a direct response to the Raiders not extending him this past offseason. Although Meyers requested a trade, he remains happy to be with the Silver and Black.
