Raiders News: Ashton Jeanty Shares Telling Message After Chiefs Loss

October 26, 2025 by Raiders Nation

Ashton Jeanty, Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have played the Kansas City Chiefs very tough over the past couple of years, even as they have struggled overall. But on Sunday, they were completely dominated in every way by the Chiefs, whose defense held the Raiders to just 95 total yards and rookie running back Ashton Jeanty to only 21 yards on the ground in a 31-0 drubbing.

There was simply no area in which the Raiders were sufficient against the Chiefs, as quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns in the first game in which the Chiefs had their full arsenal of weapons. The Raiders did not convert a single third- or fourth-down play and were also the more penalized team on the day.

After the contest, Jeanty did not hold back, saying the Raiders had a terrible performance overall as a team, via Raiders YouTube:

“Just a terrible performance by us as a team. Couldn’t stop them on defense and the offense we couldn’t get going at all. So, you’re going to lose a lot of football games like that.”

Jeanty would continue, saying that the Raiders have to be better going forward and not point fingers at each other, but rather look inside themselves and figure out how each individual player can improve:

“We just got to be better, I mean simple as that. We got to go back, watch the film. We can’t point the finger. Can’t point a finger at coaches for the scheme or other players for making a mistake. We gotta look inward and look how each and every single one of us can get better to make sure that never happens again.”

The Raiders are now 2-5 on the year, trailing the Denver Broncos by three games in the AFC West in a year in which head coach Pete Carroll believed the Raiders would be winning a lot of games. But things have not gone the way anyone wants, and Jeanty feels it is up to everyone inside that locker room to look at themselves and see where they can get better.

The good news for the Raiders is that they now have their bye week, which will hopefully allow them to reset, get healthy, and turn this season around. The margin for this team to make a push to the postseason is now extremely slim, but if they do what Jeanty is saying, anything is possible.

Knee injury for Raiders’ star Maxx Crosby not believed to be serious

Another concern for the Raiders following Sunday’s loss was the status of star defensive end Maxx Crosby, who left the game early with a knee injury. But the issue isn’t believed to be serious, and Crosby should be ok going forward.
