Nathan Peterman is probably leader
The story of the Las Vegas Raiders’ training camp and preseason, of cruse, has been the starting quarterback battle between incumbent Aidan O’Connell and free-agent addition Gardner Minshew.
Now that is is over and Minshew is the guy, the intrigue at the position hasn’t stopped at the top for the Raiders this summer.
There is still the question of the the emergency quarterback to be finalized.
However, there is a new favorite in the mix in the form of Nathan Peterman, who is in his second stint with the Silver and Black. Peterman, 30, was with the Raiders from 2018-21 and he spent the past two seasons with the Chicago Bears where he played for new Raiders’ offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.
The Raiders also undrafted free agent Carter Bradley. They cut Anthony Brown on Friday.
Peterman is certainly the most experience of the current group behind O’Connell and Minshew, but experience isn’t always what teams are looking for in their No. 3. often, the goal is to have a player who can develop in that well not a journeyman.
What do you think the Raiders should do?
