Raiders’ Week 4 opponent: Meet the Chargers

Raiders play at Los Angeles next Monday night

The Las Vegas Raiders are going to meet a very excited Los Angeles Chargers team in Week 4 when they visit them to play on Monday Night Football on Oct. 4.

The Chargers are coming off a thrilling 30-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. So, the Chargers will be feeling pretty good about themselves when they get the Monday night showcase against the Raiders next week.

Here’s some more early week information on the Chargers.

Chargers’ record:
They are 2-1.

Last season:
The Raiders and Chargers played two wild games in 2020. Each team won one game in the series, on the road and both games went down to the wire. The Raiders scored 58 points in the two games, while the Chargers tallied 56 in the two games. I expect another crazy one this week.

Justin Herbert is good:
The Chargers’ second-season quarterback is the real deal. The Oregon product has started his second season strong after an excellent rookie season. Herbert threw for 640 yards with four touchdown passes and no interceptions against the Raiders in two games last season. He will be a focal point this week in Las Vegas’ meeting rooms.

Bradley connection:
New Raiders defensive coordinator Gus Bradley spent the past four season with the Chargers, as did several of his defensive coaches and cornerback Casey Hayward. So, that could give them a jump on planning for Herbert because they know him so well.
