Gamblers betting on Denver to win Super Bowl LVI are not looking so smart right now
On the surface, the fact that two of the five-most bet teams to win the Super Bowl LVI are in the AFC West may not bode well for the Las Vegas Raiders.
But the reality is, in the end, it’s pretty funny.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the second-most bet team to win it all this season at MGM casinos. That makes sense. The Chiefs have been to the Super Bowl in the past two seasons. The third most? The Denver Broncos.
The Broncos? Yep!
You see, a bunch of would-be wise guys went deep on Denver because of the speculation that the Green Bay Packers would send MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the Rocky Mountains. Of course, the reality is that Rodgers reported to training camp with the Packers on Tuesday and he will play in Green Bay in 2021.
The Denver Broncos (40-1) are No. 3 in bets to win the Super Bowl and No. 2 in liability at @BetMGM books b/c they seemed to be the likeliest Aaron Rodgers trade destination.
With Rodgers reporting to Packers camp, those bettors’ hopes now ride on Teddy Bridgewater/Drew Lock.

The Broncos and their over-eager betting backers? They ‘re going into the season with Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock.
That’s why they call it “gambling.”
