Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow is making his return to the NFL with the Carolina Panthers
Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow was out of the NFL in 2024. After having a breakout 2021 season, his production dipped when working with Josh McDaniels. Add in concussion issues, and Renfrow couldn’t find a team to give him a chance to display his skill set.
Renfrow was a fan favorite for his gritty play and toughness, which was exemplified by a big hit he made to break up a fake punt pass against the Los Angeles Chargers. There were talks before the NFL draft about whether the Former Clemson Tiger would rejoin the Raiders. He was at the facility for a visit to see if he could be a fit for John Spytek and Pete Carroll. It didn’t work out, and the Raiders added weapons in the draft.
Renfrow was available, but that all changed on Sunday when Renfrow got another opportunity. Renfrow is signing with the Carolina Panthers and will help out young quarterback Bryce Young.
Raider Nation will be rooting for Renfrow to do well in Carolina. It could be a great comeback story for a player who was a pro-bowler four years ago.
