New Raiders’ starting quarterback puts in work when protected
We all know that new Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith has been one of the more accurate quarterbacks in the NFL in recent season with the Seattle Seahawks.
Smith is even more dangerous and accurate when he is protect well, which is something the Seattle offensive line struggled to do at times.
According to a recent tweet by NFL analyst Warren Sharp, Smith was the second most accurate quarterback in the NFL in the 2024 season when kept clean. Here is the the full list:
most accurate QBs when kept clean
1. Kirk Cousins
2. Geno Smith
3. Joe Burrow
4. Jalen Hurts
5. Daniel Jones
6. Russell Wilson
7. Dak Prescott
8. Jared Goff
9. Baker Mayfield
10. Gardner Minshew
11. Kyler Murray
12. Brock Purdy
13. Tua Tagovailoa
14. Lamar Jackson
15. Jayden…— Warren Sharp (@SharpFootball) June 14, 2025
So, this is a challenge to the Las Vegas offensive line. If it can keep Smith clean, he will deliver. So, if the Raiders’ offensive line can improve from a so-so 2024 season, the addition of their new quarterback could pay big dividends for the unit.
