It’s all about staying on the field
The Las Vegas Raiders are confident they have upgraded at key positions on offense to show major improvement on that side of the ball during the 2025 NFL season.
The Raiders have added offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, quarterback Geno Smith and running abck Ashton Jeanty. They think and hope those additions will spark a big swing in production. And they need it.
A recent tweet by NFL analyst Warren Sharp showed that their Raiders had 55 percent of their drives end either with a punt or a turnover last season. It was the 12th highest rate in the entire league. Here is the complete list:

It is worth noting that Smith and the Seattle Seahawks’ offense had a 57 percent rate in this stat. Of course, it was not all on Smith, but as the quarterback, he did play a role. Still, the Raiders should, with all of their additions, improve in this key area in 2025.
