The Raiders Call Davante Adams Departure “Business as Usual”

November 29, 2024 by Raiders Nation

Davante Adams, Raiders

Fans who support the Las Vegas Raiders on top betting sites have been wondering what will happen to the team now that Davante Adams has decided to leave.

Since any new move could impact betting odds, people are curious whether the Raiders will do something regarding the player’s absence. Although Davante was ready to depart from the team, his farewell message disappointed his fans, and everyone hoped that rebuilding would help the team rise from the ashes.

Will there be a rebuild, though? Let’s find out.

A Rebuilt Is Not Indicated by Adams’ Absence According to the Raiders

Having a player like Davante Adams leave the Las Vegas Raiders was bound to leave a mark on the group. Recently, the team experienced losses in Pittsburgh and Senver.

Still, the team says that Davante’s absence is not a distraction. The fact that he’s not part of the team anymore isn’t a sign that a rebuild will take place. During a weekly media gathering, coach Antonio Pierce spoke about the situation, emphasizing that the team is doing just fine without Adams.

“Next man up, move on. He was out for the last two weeks, so we’re fine. It’s just business as usual. That’s how we’ve been really operating the last couple of weeks.”

After the recent losses, the Raiders hope for a miracle soon. Maxx Crosby hopes for a positive result in the match against the Los Angeles Rams. When it came to Adams, he said that he wished him the best.

Nevertheless, he cannot ignore the challenge brought by the Rams’, and he spoke about how skilled many opponents’ players are. He brought up stars like Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford.

Davante Adams’ Message Left Fans Disappointed

Davante Adams was traded to the New York Jets, with the terms being an exchange for a conditional 3rd round draft pick. Still, before joining the Jets, Adams left a farewell message for the Las Vegas team.

“Thank you for your relentless passion and unwavering support when I put on the historic shield every Sunday. Raider Nation has been and will always be a part of my family, from Oakland to Las Vegas.”

Still, many fans were unhappy with his decision to leave and were upset that he left the team when it needed him most. One fan wrote, “Thanks for doing this in the offseason and not quitting on your team mid-season!”

On the other hand, those who love Adams are excited to see him back with Aaron Rodgers, who used to be his teammate during his Green Bay Packers days.

What Can the Raiders Do in the Future?

If the Las Vegas Raiders want to return to glory, they should make a few changes. They must consider trading a few veterans and then build for the future. Things might shift considerably depending on how the next matches conclude. Some of the names to keep an eye on include:

  • Cody Whitehair
  • Jakobi Meyers
  • Alexander Mattison
  • Robert Spillane
  • John Jenkins

Maxx Crosby, on the other hand, is a player that will maintain his position. He is excellent for the team and will likely not be moved.

In the last games, the Raiders kept their long-standing active 3-sack streak. The good news is that the players are doing their best despite the problems faced along the way. It’s hard to tell if the team will continue the rebuilding process, but changes will be necessary if things don’t improve.
